Most Christians today start to think about their
estate as they plan for retirement. Many have good intentions. Yet
few actually act on these intentions.
Most people assume that once they are gone,
everything will ‘magically’ work out so their entire estate will
go to their family and maybe even their church. Unfortunately
without proper planning, up to 50% can go to pay off taxes etc. This
leaves even less for loved ones.
We can plan on leaving a legacy to the Lord’s
Work. What would be better than leaving something that has eternal
significance? Maybe this could include you!
Sadly however, few follow through and actually
take steps to see it happen. Being a good steward involves
maximizing an estate value to assist family, friends and
importantly, the Lord’s Work.
We
will cover the following areas:
1.
What does it mean to “Leave a
Legacy”?
2.
Won’t it work out on its own?
3.
Pitfalls of estate planning.
4.
How to deal with the area of
inheritance.
5.
How to maximize our estate.
6.
How to give to the Lord’s work
and still leave more to your family.
Is it possible?
7.
How to leave Revenue Canada out of
your will?
